Wide Women Sandals

Have you been dealing with foot pain and struggling every time you have to wear a pair of sandals? Are you looking for a pair of orthopedic sandals to provide more support to your feet and legs?

There are several conditions that require to wear orthopedic shoes such as severe cases of flat feet, overpronation, Plantar Fasciitis, Hammertoes, rolled ankles, or any other foot condition that is affecting your walking gait and giving you foot and leg pain.

Foot pain will cause you to feel exhausted and worn out, which will keep you from exercising. Orthopedic shoes will provide relief to your feet and help treat your foot condition, and you will notice that your overall health benefits from them.

I am a firm believer that comfort should always come before style, and orthopedic sandals have proven to be extremely effective in treating and minimizing foot and leg pain during the summer seasons.

There are certain orthopedic sandals that I have fitted before that provide with excellent arch support to help relieve the tension of your muscles, bones and tendons in your feet. These orthopedic sandals are lightweight and flexible at the same time, to allow the feet to move naturally with a stable base of support and prevent your feet and legs from easily getting tired.

I am an expert when it comes to fitting women’s shoes since I have been working for a specialized shoe store for the last 10 years. Moreover, I have been helping women find the correct type of shoes and orthotics to reduce or fully eliminate the foot and leg pain that they were having. We specialize in women with foot and leg problems, but we provide regular shoe fitting as well.

It’s really important for us to carry top quality shoes that are available in all widths, since that’s the only way we can guarantee to fit every woman.

I have seen on first-hand the positive impact that a good pair of orthopedic sandals can have on a woman, especially if you have foot conditions that require you to get more support from your sandals.

I need you to know when regarding sandals, you should never insert a pair of orthotics inside them for extra support, since the orthotic will end up moving too much inside the sandals and you won’t get any of the benefits that the orthotics have to offer.  I wanted to clarify this since it’s a very common question several women have asked and seem confused about.

I will show you a selection of the best orthopedic sandals for women shortly, but first I want to make sure you know your exact foot size and the features that these sandals have to offer. In addition, if you are going to be ordering your sandals online you need to be absolutely sure of your foot size or you will end up wasting a lot of time and money having to return them.

Please keep in mind that these orthopedic sandals are not bulky and they will look like most regular sandals. Here is an example of how one of the styles look like:

Keep in consideration that shoes can run shortlongnarrow, or wide, and depending on how they run you will need to adjust the size that you get for yourself.

You always want to wear a half a size longer of the size that you measure in the shoe measuring scale to prevent your toes from rubbing against the side or the front of the shoes.

However…

If you measure a foot size 10 and the shoes fit “short”, then you will need to choose the shoe size 11 in order to allow enough wiggle room (a whole size longer instead of a half a size longer). On the other hand, if the shoes fit “long” then you will need to pick the same shoe size instead of going a half a size longer (since the shoes already fit long).

Please keep in mind that all of these shoe styles fit “true to size”, which means that you need a half a size longer of the size that you measure in the standard foot measuring scale (Brannock device) in order to prevent your toes from rubbing against the side or the front of the shoes.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you are ever having trouble finding a particular shoe style. I want you to keep on thing in mind: It doesn’t matter how narrow or wide your feet are, there is always at least one particular shoe style out there that will fit the shape of your feet perfectly, and I will help you find it.

  1. I have a narrow heel and wide foot in front. I was looking on the website for the brands/styles that would be best for me, but could not find a list. (another reader also mentioned this problem) I wear running/walking shoes and have to put orthotic in due to flat feet. I also want to find some nicer looking shoes for dress. I do not like Mary Janes.

    • Hello Holly,

This article that you commented on describes the best orthopedic sandals for women. In which particular article you are not able to see the shoe recommendations?

Are you planning on wearing the orthotic inside your dress shoes? Orthotics will only fit in running and walking sneakers, boots, and Mary Jane shoes. Orthotics won’t fit in flats or high heels. However, there are certain dress shoes that provide more support than others, but before I send you a list with specific recommendations I need to know whether you are planning on wearing your orthotics inside your dress shoes or not.
