Have you been looking to save money when buying your women’s shoes? Do you love good-quality, supportive, lightweight shoes but at a reasonable price?
I have been working for a specialized family shoe store for over 10 years now where I help women with foot conditions and “complicated” foot shapes find the perfect pair of shoes for their feet.
There is one big secret most women are not aware of and it’s the best way to save money when purchasing your shoes without compromising on their quality and fit. Now, the secret I am about to reveal will only work for women who wear a shoe size 8 ½ or smaller, so if you wear a women’s shoe size 9 or above, this might not be the article you are looking for (I don’t want to waste your time unless you want to share the secret with friends and family).
When you start looking for shoes on sale, what do you normally do? Do you type a keyword in Google such as the “women’s shoes for sale”, or “the cheapest shoes for women” …?
This is a great way to find shoes on sale, and the results those keywords will return are ads of shoes on sale on different websites. Now, the issue with this is that when a shoe goes on sale, there is normally a reason why.
- One of the reasons might be that the shoe is an older style and there are only a few sizes left the manufacturer is trying to get rid of (nothing wrong with this).
- Another reason and this is the most common one is that there might be a fitting problem with the shoe, which is a huge issue since it means that it won’t fit the shape of your feet due to a manufacturer’s defect (the shoe might fit too narrow or too wide).
The challenge is to get your women’s shoes at a discounted price but knowing they will be made of great quality, provide great support, be flexible, and most importantly, fit properly.
Cheap Women’s Shoes – Supportive, Comfortable, and Well-Made!
Did you know that if you wear a woman 8 ½ or smaller you can get the same version of the shoe but in kids’ sizes and pay half of the price for the shoe?
For example, a woman’s shoe size 6 translates to a child’s shoe size 4 ½. Basically, you just need to go a whole size and a half smaller from your women’s shoe size to figure out your kids’ shoe size. So, if you wear a women’s shoe size 7, you will need to get the kids’ version of the shoe in a size 5 ½.
Keep in mind that the last children’s shoe size is a size 7, which translates to a women’s shoe size 8 ½. This is the reason why at the beginning of the post I told you that if you wore a woman’s shoe size 9, you won’t be able to get the kids’ version of the shoe.
I am a firm believer that shoes must provide good support for our feet and legs to keep them healthy, so our main goal is to find shoes that are made of good quality materials, provide good arch and ankle support, are flexible, breathable, and available for the best possible price.
Let’s remember this: When our feet are comfortable, they are happy, and when our feet are happy, our entire body is happy!
I will shortly show you the best shoes for women that are available for the lowest price but that still made of good quality materials, provide good support for your feet, and are also available in different widths such as narrow (N), medium (M), wide (W), and extra wide (XW).
Will the Kids Version of the Shoes Provide the Same Support?
We are talking about the same women’s shoe style but in kids’ sizes. I will actually show you a selection of the most supportive children running shoes. Also keep in mind that we are talking about the same quality shoe brands such as New Balance, Asics, Saucony…
These shoes provide excellent arch and ankle support, they are lightweight and flexible, and they also provide great traction and breathability.
If you are not sure of your exact foot size or foot shape I suggest that you start by taking a look at a different article called:
Below You Can Find Examples of How this Conversion Works!
Asics Running Shoes!
In the first example, we can see a picture from Amazon’s website which shows us a women’s running shoe size 11 1/2 that retails for $86.56.
Below, you can find a picture of the same shoe style (even the same color) for a child shoe size 7 (which translates to a woman shoe size 8 1/2) that retails for $48.47. Pretty amazing right? There is about a 40 dollar difference between the women’s shoe style and the kids’ shoe style!
That is just an example of a running shoe, but this conversion also works with rain boots, sandals, dress shoes, dress boots, snow boots… you name it!
In the example below, I took a picture of another shoe sold by Amazon but this time is a summer sandal made by the shoe company named Keen.
In the first picture, we can see an example of a women’s Keen summer sandal that is on sale for 62.49 dollars.
In the picture below we can see the same Keen sandal style but for kids’. The kids’ shoe size retails for 38.46 dollars! There is a huge difference between the women’s price and the children’s price!
The last example I am going to show you is about the fashion boot brand named Ugg. First, let’s take a look at a picture of a woman Ugg that retails for $219.95.
Below you can find the same Ugg boot, but in a kids shoe size 6 (Ugg’s don’t come in half sizes so a kids shoe size 6 translates to a women’s shoe size 8) that retails for $184.95! This is not such a big difference compared to the other examples but still you are saving: $35.00!
STOP Buying Low QUALITY Cheap Women Shoes!
While we are always trying to economize, buying a pair of cheap low-quality shoes is just false economy. There is nothing wrong with trying to save some money in our everyday shoes, but we must be smart about it.
Shoes that don’t provide the correct amount of structure and support can create foot and leg pain. Also, if the shoe doesn’t fit properly it can create blisters, calluses, and corns, just to name a few issues.
For the most part, cheaper shoes tend to not breathe as well, which is a factor you might take into consideration before purchasing low quality shoes.
It’s important to never compromise on the quality and the fit of the shoes. By purchasing the kids’ version of the shoes, you are getting good quality and supportive shoes for the best price possible!
Instead of providing you with a list of cheap shoes that might offer very little support and might be made of low quality materials, you can rest assured that you are getting good quality shoes at the lowest possible price!
Best Kids’ Shoes for Women Who Wear a Shoe Size 9 or Smaller ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Below you can find a selection of the most supportive, better-made children’s shoes in the market right now offered by Amazon. Disclosure: Keep in mind that we may receive commissions when you click our links and make purchases.
These shoe styles are all available in different widths such as medium (M), wide(W), and extra wide (XW) and they all fit “true to size”, which means that you need to go half a size longer (o,3 inches or o.6 centimeters) of the size that you measure in the shoe measuring scale to prevent your toes to be cramped against the end of the shoe.
If you are looking for a pair of Ugg boots or sandals I suggest that you refer to the following articles:
Below is also a shoe size translation chart between children’s shoe sizes and women shoe sizes so you can easily convert your women’s shoe size to a kids’ shoe size!
Expensive shoes don’t automatically translate into better, more comfortable shoes for your feet. There are several features that will play a key role in the comfort of the shoe such as the style/design, type of leather, the amount of cushioning and arch support, the breathability of the shoe, how flexible it is… all of those features play a huge role in how comfortable that shoe will feel!
If you are shopping for your shoes online, it’s important you choose an online retailer that provides easy, no-questions-asked returns and excellent customer service.
