Best Rain Boots for Women with Narrow Feet

Nothing can ruin your day quicker than getting your feet wet. Who hasn’t been in a rush and accidentally stepped in a puddle? It always happens when you have to be somewhere, don’t have time to change, and need to look presentable. Rain boots are a great way to prevent this from happening. However, they tend to be one-size-fits-all and this complicates things when you have narrow feet. I am going to show you a list of the best rain boots for women with narrow feet that I have fitted before.

Most rain boots are wider than our everyday shoes. We all know how uncomfortable it is when we wear shoes that do not fit our feet correctly and it can also have serious consequences down the road.

Although rain boots are not worn everyday (at least if you don’t live in a very rainy region) wearing the right type of rain boot should be a priority! It can be frustrating to not find rain boots that fit your narrow feet perfectly. As rain boots are not used selectively, they tend to run on the wider side. But don’t worry, I will help you find a boot that fits your narrow feet comfortably!

What Makes a Rain Boot Effective for Narrow Feet?

1️⃣ Narrow Toe-Box – This will make your feet feel more secure inside of the boot. Otherwise, your feet and toes might move too much inside the boot which is uncomfortable and can have other negative consequences too. You might think that having more a roomy toe box would not be a bad idea but this will make you more prone to lose your stability and fall. Also, your toes will be trying to keep your shoe on by scrunching up which can end in bunions, hammertoes. the excessive pressure can lead to corns calluses, and metatarsalgia. It is very important to avoid these to maintain healthy feet!

2️⃣ Narrower platforms – This will make the overall shape of your feet be more snug in the body of the boot.

3️⃣ Narrow around the calves – When you wear boots that are too wide around the calves, it will rub against them and can be very painful!

4️⃣ Removable footbeds – This can help any boot to feel more comfortable. If the narrow rain boot’s options are not narrow enough for your feet, you can add a pair of extra insoles to adjust and reduce the loose space in the boot.

Are You Wearing the Right Size Shoe?

Did you know that there is a study by the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society that showed that 88% of American women wear shoes that are too small?

There is nothing more uncomfortable than wearing the wrong size shoe! Be aware that your foot shape and size can change overtime. This can happen because of pregnancy, aging, and weight gain or loss. The ligaments and tendons also lose strength due to aging and make our arches decrease which can flatten and lengthen the foot and toes. Because of this, I recommend you get your feet measured every 6 months. Additionally, when it comes to sizes you don’t only need to only look at the length of your foot but also the width!  Quality measurements start with expert consultation, so let me help you retrieve your exact foot length and shape:
